Fine Motor Development

Includes Montessori Practical Life & censorial activities, art and craft, beading, lacing puzzles, play dough, hands on experiments, tracing, coloring, writing, finger rhymes etc.

Language Development

Step by Step, phonetically and through ‘Fitzroy’ reading program, children are lead into the world of reading, comprehension and vocabulary development. Show and tell, speech and drama, story telling, picture reading and grammar games are the various methods used to enhance the children’s communication skills and language development.

Development of Mathematical Concepts

Hands on activities and games introduce the children to the world of numbers, geometry, operations (things we do with numbers), space and direction, measurement, Patterns and sequences, fractions, time, colors, statistics and probability while developing skills in one to one correspondence, grouping, sorting, serializing, matching, classifying and understanding various concepts.

Development of Environmental Awareness

Children are introduced to various concepts such as interactions of everything on the planet, land, air, water and all living things, the systems that determines weather and climate, food supply, energy resources, and the quality of life for every plant and animal; systems operating on a planetary scale or in a geologic time; the organisms living in a single water drop. Through our themes, chemistry, geology, physics and biology are all intersected in discussion.

We also introduce children to ways after looking after our environment. Through songs, games, themes, activities experiments and projects, we instil in the children the need and want to take care of our environment through topics such as: Save water and energy resources, recycling etc.

Emotional and Social Development

Sunshine encourages activities between the different age groups. This helps develop children’s social skills. Activities such as Yoga and self esteem games and activities support their emotional development and well being and participation in celebrations, Annual day program and Speech & Drama enhances the children’s social development to the maximum.

Creative Activities

Art and Craft, drawing, Free play, outdoor activities music and movement, drama, explorations with materials and simple experiments are few of the ways where our children express their emotions and enhance their creativity.

Extra Curricular Activities

Ballet, Taekwondo, Computer, Mandarin, Hindi and Bahasa Indonesia are also offered within the preschool hours.
