Tentang Lembaga

At ISEC Preschool, our classroom is child-centered so as to stimulate development through creative academic choices.

“Teachers prepare the environment for children to learn through exploration of materials, and interaction with adults and other children.”

The environments are structured with, hands-on learning centers to let the children explore and work independently. In addition, group activities are offered to foster large group skills and a sense of community.

In conjunction with the multiple learning centers in the indoor classroom, we offer outdoor activities such as field trips. We feel that young children need unstructured, rich, nature-based setting to encourage their understanding and respect for the natural world.

Program

The role of the preschool program acknowledges the competencies of each child’s development and plans experiences which will support the children’s learning potentials, in a healthy, comfortable and safe environment.

CURRICULUM

ISEC uses the eclectic curriculum to ensure that our children will the get the best possible foundation in their academic skills. This includes all that is planned for the children in the classroom, such as learning centers, circle time, or teacher-initiated small-group activity. It also includes the child’s learning experiences through discovery while at work or at play.

DAILY ROUTINE

The daily routine are as follows :

ARRIVAL : free play in the main hall ( along with teacher and assistant)
CIRCLE TIME : prayer, song, collective morning activities
CLASS TIME : teacher prepares and provides the activities for Language, Math, SOSE and other subjects
SNACK TIME : children help to set up and clean away in order to learn about independence and ownership
PLAY TIME : co-ordination activities, playground activities, and productive free play
