Little Owl Preschool is a national plus school that provides  innovative programs, nurturing and loving environments to help children grow to their fullest potential with developmentally appropriate curriculum of sharing Living Values, Montessori Method, English and Music as media of instruction.  Our curriculum is based on Singapore’s Curriculum which combined English and Mandarin as their spoken language and will be integrated to our National Curriculum in Indonesian Language.

Creative learning and innovative programs are aiming to the fulfillment of every child’s ability and potential in a variety of learning experience with developmentally appropriate curriculum by stimulating learning experiences that follow the child’s interest and exploration of his / her environment.

MONTESSORI METHOD

The Montessori Method believes that children are inherently intelligent and learn by absorbing information from their surrounding and posses a tireless interest in manipulating materials. The learning environment is uniquely prepared and designed to stimulate children into logical thoughts and discovery. Children are encouraged to work independently and in groups with a variety of attractive and interesting educational materials. As children explore, they learn to trust their own ability to think, solve problems independently and learn to be unafraid of making mistakes. Self discipline is also acquired gradually through absorption of consequential activities. Children are constantly challenged by a wide variety of materials through their daily activities.

The Montessori materials cover areas of learning practical life skills, sensorial development, language, mathematics, science and cultural.

 

MUSIC EDUCATION by  GITA NITI METHOD

Gita Niti Para Samya Foundation (GITA NITI) is our Parents Foundation which has been working in Early Learning Education since 2001. Gita Niti believes that using Music as specific education method for early learning, children can be develop to their fullest potential which will contribute to their future quality personality development. As Gordon Shaw (Researcher of University of California) mentions in his research, that all the brain cells which are stimulated by music will create a “story” in child’s mind and this will help to develop the systematic and logic ways of thinking in which Gita Niti uses as their fundamental of education.  In Little Owl Preschool – Daycare, we will use this fundamental learning to stimulate children’s mind by using music in their daily activities.
